Social Distortion’s holiday tour hits Anaheim — HARD

On December 18th, Orange County natives Social Distortion headlined a sold out show at House of Blues Anaheim. They were supported by The Hangmen from Los Angeles. Walking up to the venue, there was a big line of people waiting to get in and you could feel the anticipation in the air.

This was the fifth Anaheim show on Social Distortion’s holiday tour — and it was still packed to the brim.

The Hangmen came out first, hitting the stage hard. They got the crowd pumped and raging. Fans were loving them. This was my first time seeing them and I really enjoyed their set; I definitely want to get the chance to shoot them again!

After a short intermission, it was time for Mike Ness, Jonny “2 Bags” Wickersham, and the rest of Social Distortion to hit the stage. Social Distortion always puts on an amazing show and this night was no different. They played all the favorites from across their 40-year career, including “Mommy’s Little Monster”, “Another State of Mind”, “Cold Feelings”, and “Prison Bound”. After an amazing set, where the crowd sang along to every word, the band came back for an encore, playing “Story of My Life”, “Ring of Fire”, and “Bad Luck”.   Overall, this was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. Happy holidays, Social D!
