Tearing up a Friday night at Chain Reaction, up-and-coming band Between You & Me are ready to conquer their second North American tour with their first full-length album out to the world. The guys — consisting of vocalist Jake Wilson, guitarists Jai Gibson and Chris Bowerman, bassist James Karagiozis and drummer Jamey Bowerman — all came in from Melbourne, Australia with fans from around the world. The start of it all is thanks to YouTube, where Wilson was contacted by Chris and Jamey Bowerman to start a band. Later on, Gibson and Karagiozis joined the group after the dissipation of their other project, Sidelines, to create something incredible. Hey! It’s a digital age and ever since their “Cavalier” single debut in April 2016, the guys have been crushing it all over, signing to Hopeless Records in 2017.
The pop-punk group has an energy onstage that really could only be compared to an early 2000s Blink-182 vibe, keeping the crowd plenty entertained between each hit. Starting off the night right, BYAM got the crowd into circle pits, crowd surfing and even a stage dive from Wilson himself at the end of the set. They knew what to play and how to deliver, with hits off their full-length album Everything is Temporary, such as “Move On”, “Famous” and the title track. With their most recent EP Reimagined just released, the bands performed “Dakota (Reimagined)”, which the audience went crazy for. Don’t miss the crazy fun, as the tour has just begun! The guys will continue their North American tour through the Northeast, Canada, before traveling through the Midwest, with a final departure date in San Diego. Joining Between You & Me on the tour is Doll Skin, Seaway and With Confidence.
