The west coast’s premier rock festival presented by Danny Wimmer, Aftershock, is set to return to Discovery Park in Sacramento from October 2nd through the 5th, 2025 — and it’s shaping up to be the festival’s biggest year to date.
Last year’s record-breaking attendance was over 160,000 fans.
Building on the momentum, Aftershock 2025 promises an even more explosive experience. With four stages and four full days of music, attendees can expect a powerhouse lineup, top-tier food and drink options, and an expanded array of artisan vendors that make this annual event a must-visit for rock and metal fans.
This year’s headliners include Deftones, blink-182, Korn, and Bring Me the Horizon, anchoring what organizers are calling the most ambitious Aftershock lineup to date. The bill also features major names like Good Charlotte, Turnstile, Mudvayne, Bruce Dickinson (of Iron Maiden), and progressive metal legends A Perfect Circle. Honestly, the list goes on and on… although fans are particularly buzzing about French metal titans Gojira, whose electrifying performance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony earned international acclaim.
Beyond the music, Aftershock delivers a full festival experience with some of Sacramento’s best food and beverage vendors. Personal favorites like Bacon Mania will return, alongside a variety of local and regional culinary favorites, complemented by a curated selection of artisan crafts.
Festival-goers can also explore unique onsite attractions like The Loud Lounge, showcasing brands such as KOLAS, Clown Cannabis, California’s Finest CBD, Heavy Grass, Dr. Greenthumb’s, and Helpful Hemp. At the Blackened Bar, fans can enjoy Metallica’s Blackened Whiskey, a premium blend created by the late master distiller Dave Pickerell. Another fest highlight includes Mortus Viventi, a fashion brand that supports musician rights and advocates for change in the industry.
