Big things are brewing: new music, live shows, and more from Brewfish

The southern California reggae-rock crew is closing out 2025 with a packed schedule, new tracks, and a string of live dates that are guaranteed to keep fans well-fed.

Fronted by original members Alex Kay (vocals/guitar) and Andrew Valero (bass), Brewfish has built a reputation on a seamless mix of reggae, rock, punk, and hip-hop influences. Rounded out by new members Justin Schubel (drums), Matt Mish (guitar/backing vocals), and Van Maloney (keys), their live set delivers both the weight and detail of their recordings, with a chemistry that’s been locking in hard.

New Music

On August 15th, Brewfish will release “Espresso,” a reggae-rock cover of Sabrina Carpenter’s chart-topping hit. It’s the first of three highly anticipated planned singles — Original songs, “Ay There” will hit streaming platforms on September 12th, followed by “Courage” on October 10th.

Upcoming Shows

With new music on the way, Brewfish is wasting no time bringing them to the stage. Their late-summer and fall schedule pairs them with some of the most recognizable names in SoCal’s reggae-rock community, making for a run that spans hometown favorites, coastal stops, and desert road trips. Make sure to mark your calendars and grab tickets before its too late.

  • August 16th – Backstage Bar & Billiards, Las Vegas (w/ The Supervillains & B Foundation)

Looking Ahead

With a pop cover in the pipeline, more original material on deck, and a run of shows that hits both local haunts and road-trip-worthy stops, Brewfish is positioned for a busy close to 2025 — and for fans, that’s good news.
