All hands on deck and batten down the hatches! blink-182 has announced a massive reunion tour WITH Tom DeLonge! DeLonge parted ways with the band twice in recent history: once for four years in 2005; the second time in 2015, which continued indefinitely… until now!
Maybe the band is working with Tom on new music… that’s my speculation, but no matter what the reason is, I can’t wait to see everyone back together again! DeLonge has a phenomenal voice and stage presence, always looking like he’s having fun performing.
This is gonna be the biggest tour of 2023 — maybe even 2024!
I can’t wait to see what the band has in store for us. As for opening acts, they will be supported by the band Turnstile on the North American leg of the tour (a band that just so happens to be the biggest hype band around in terms of direct support). The tour will also feature Wallows, Rise Against and The Story So Far! If I could add one other band to the lineup, I really think this tour could benefit from Machine Gun Kelly opening for blink-182… Travis Barker and MGK have worked together before and it would be awesome to see them come together again. Like in 2020, when MGK and Travis Barker got together to create Tickets To My Downfall, which I still think is Machine Gun Kelly’s best album yet. Then the follow up Mainstream Sellout had even more brute force to it. Seeing blink-182 and Machine Gun Kelly collaborate on a song would be a dream come true for many fans, including myself. I sure want this to happen!
Please, oh pretty please, let this song happen!
People are already going crazy for the lineup; imagine if they took my advice and added MGK, too… Machine Gun Kelly and blink-182, are you kidding me?! That would be tour of the year, right there!
Okay, enough of my FAN-tasies. Get it? Let’s get back to next year’s tour. As for the blink-182 reunion with Tom, I am so excited that I’m hyperventilating! Lots of fans had to do a double-take to make sure this was real, I’m sure! DON’T WORRY FOLKS — it’s real, it’s happening and it will blow your socks off!
I’m gonna go listen to blink-182 right now to hype myself up. I hope everyone does the same. Let’s gear up for this tour together as blink-182 fans. Let’s all come together and celebrate together in unity. Who’s with me? Can I get a “Whoop-Whoop” and a “Hip-Hip-Hooray?” Get ready for awesomeness, for blink-182 is gonna absolutely BRING IT on tour and welcome back, Tom DeLonge!
