Brighter Daze Festival makes its return to Reno this August 29th and August 30th, delivering two full days feel-good energy to the J Resort Festival Grounds. Located in the heart of “The Biggest Little City in the World” and produced by Good Vibez Presents (the team behind beloved west coast events like California Roots and Holo Holo music festivals), Brighter Daze is a community-centered event that blends reggae and hip hop culture with the best vibes around. With main gates at 299 Ralston Street, between 2nd and 3rd Streets, the festival will welcome attendees starting at 2pm both Saturday and Sunday, extending all the way to 10pm.
So, let’s talk lineup!
Leading Day One is reggae powerhouse Rebelution. For more than two decades, this California-based group has been one of the genre’s most recognizable names, consistently selling out amphitheaters and headlining festivals across the globe. Rebelution‘s uplifting sound and devoted fanbase make them a fitting choice to close out the festival’s first night.
But that’s not all. Sunday shifts gears with a performance from multi-platinum rapper Wiz Khalifa, known for his chart-topping hits, laidback personality, and deep connection to cannabis culture. While maintaining the event’s overall spirit of positivity and celebration, Wiz’s headlining set is expected to draw fans across multiple genres.
And the supporting lineup is equally impressive. International reggae ambassadors SOJA will bring their GRAMMY-winning sound to Reno, while fan-favorite HIRIE continues to showcase the genre’s growing diversity and evolution. Other standout performers include Common Kings, whose blend of island reggae and R&B has earned them a loyal following, along with Shwayze, Yelawolf, Aurorawave, Bikini Trill, and several additional artists that round out the weekend.

One of the most appealing aspects of Brighter Daze is its accessibility. Unlike many massive destination festivals that require extensive travel logistics and high investments, Brighter Daze offers a convenient urban festival experience — not far from downtown Reno — with general admission passes starting as low as $217 before tax and fees. For a little something extra, VIP passes are currently priced at $341, with onsite chair rentals for festival-goers at just $16.
As Good Vibez Presents continues expanding its festival portfolio, Brighter Daze is quickly establishing itself as one of Reno’s most anticipated music events of the year. With a laidback lineup that caters to end-of-summer vibes, the festival offers something for longtime fans of the reggae rock scene as well as newcomers looking to discover their next favorite artist.
For music lovers searching for one last major summer celebration before festival season transitions to fall, Brighter Daze Fest is exactly what its name promises: a weekend filled with great music, good people, and a roadmap to brighter days ahead. See you there!
