Bassist and vocalist for renowned reggae band Natural Vibrations, Jehua Evans has branched out on his own for a soulful solo project. Jehua’s debut single “Your Man” brings with it some smooth melodies similar to those of Natty Vibes but with a subtly different sound that we hope will lead to further success for the Hawaii-born artist.
Starting with Natural Vibrations in the early days, Evans was there for some of the highs that come with being in a commercially successful and widely respected band. Their most acclaimed album, From the Heart, peaked at number five on Billboard’s Top Reggae Album chart. The 2007 record containing some of our favorite Natty Vibes tracks like “Okana Road” and “You and I.”

With tremendous experience under his belt, Jehua looks to be a very promising artist. Making the jump across the Pacific, Evans is now based out of reggae-friendly San Diego. Recording at famed 17th Street Recording Studio, a place Sublime fans might be familiar with, Evans is looking to release music with a unique rock/reggae style. If his new single “Your Man” is any indicator, it looks like Jehua will be doing just that for years to come.
