Joshua Tree Roots Rock Reggae Festival coming this November

Situated 50 minutes outside of Palm Springs, California, the serene desert location of Joshua Tree has become home to many a music festival–ranging from reggae, to EDM, to rock, to indie and more. The vast empty space of the Mojave Desert is large enough to accommodate a high volume of event attendees, and is far enough away from city life that concert-goers feel that they've escaped to somplace exotic… although merely hours away from their respective Southern California residences. And, what's not to love about being in the desert? You can finally see the stars, the air feels crisper, cleaner, and nature can finally speak to you uninterrupted–whether you are literally doing so with the help of hallucinogens, or not.

JTRRRF will highlight music performances, arts and exhibits, culinary delights, craft vendors, and more for a full two days of peace, love, and unity.

Enter, Joshua Tree Roots Rock Reggae Festival: a 2-day fall music and arts event taking place at the Joshua Tree Community Center this November 4th and 5th. As a celebration of culture, JTRRRF will highlight music performances, arts and exhibits, culinary delights, craft vendors, and more for a full two days of peace, love, and unity. Headlining the show this year is GRAMMY-nominee Pato Banton, with direct support from a Julian-based punk-ska-reggae band on the rise, Malaki Till I Die. Other performances include Jah Faith & the Royal Lineage Band, Lesterfari, Imagery Machine, Dubbest, Dread Daze, TwentyDollar Prophets, Livn, Soul Priestess, African Postman, Kina and the Rockaway Kings, Hashishian, Daytime Moon, MC Danny Crucial, Papa Dread, and DJ Elevation. Speaking of DJs, downtime in between acts will feature lounge, reggae, and dub sounds to move and groove to.

This two-day cultural extravaganza is an all-ages event, and the theme of this year's festival is all about the community's commitment to nurturing today's youth! In support of the cause, Hermosa Beach skate company CALI STRONG is donating gear to provide young concert-goers with the chance to win skateboards, skate equipment, and back-to-school supplies. So, don't be shy to bring the little ones for a fun-filled family weekend away. Camping is encouraged for all who plan on attending, with vacancies at The Crows Nest camping grounds 15 minutes from the venue. Joshua Tree National Park also offers camping, yet is already sold out due to the growing number of ticket sales. So, make sure you reserve your camping now before The Crows Nest fills up, too!

Tickets are now available online, with single day and multi-day options. There are no VIP packages for this festival (for everyone is a VIP!), and the multi-day pass comes with a free merchandise gift with purchase. For more information, visit www.jtrootsrockreggaefest.us.
