Los Angeles witnessed one of its most unforgettable techno nights as Layton Giordani x Green Velvet sold out The Shrine Expo Hall. Hosted by Goldenvoice and Framework, the night was a collision of high-level production, world-renowned DJs, and a crowd that was ready to party all night!

Framework, founded in 2013 in Los Angeles, has become an innovation in the underground house and techno world. Once a vision to bring the EDM scene to SoCal, Framework is now one of the most respected nightlife brands globally. Over time, they’ve expanded their influence with shows in cities like Miami, New York, and other big cities around the globe.

So, when Framework does a show locally, the City of Angels knows it’s going to be big.

Born in New York and CEO of record label MADMINDS, Layton Giordani has spent 15 years rising through the ranks of global techno. This night at The Shrine, he dropped face-melting remixes like “Last Night”, “Hold it Down (DARE)”, and other bangers, such as CamelPhat’s remix to “Act Of God” — a collaboration with another renowned NYC-born DJ, Anyma.

Standing alongside him in a B2B performance was the legendary Green Velvet. The Chicago pioneer (a town that birthed house music) has 30+ years of changing the tech house game, with quirky vocals, funky beats, and an insanely fun charisma. He and Layton took turns dropping tracks, with Green Velvet spinning favorites such as “BARBEE”, Chris Lake’s remix of “Percolator”, and “LIFT ME UP”. The production went crazy during “Lazer Beams”, with hundreds of sharp green, red, and purple lasers hitting every corner of the venue.

Back in September, Layton Giordani and Green Velvet released their latest collab track, “When It Kicks”; when they dropped it at the Shrine, it absolutely blew everyone’s mind — just like the song promised it would.

Give it a listen, just sayin’.

Everywhere you looked, people were dancing nonstop. From the barricade rail to the balconies, the entire venue vibed out to two legendary artists. Many fans shuffled on any piece of empty floor they could find (just like the old days), while others jumped and threw their hands up as Layton and Velvet fed off the crowd, exchanging an unmatched chemistry and building momentum with each transition. It was electric in the purest sense of the word.

Framework is in the works to open their first, very own indoor venue, re:frame, in the Atwater Village part of Los Angeles this January 2026. Their new ginormous studio will be giving underground warehouse vibes, but on a large production scale. Catch MK at their opening night, as well as other notable deejays coming soon, such as Mind Against, Dombresky + Disco Dom, CamelPhat, The Martinez Brothers, and much more. Tickets are on sale now on their website here, so hope to catch ya there in the New Year!
