On Friday, April 11, 2014, On Point Promotions presented the Project: Out of Bounds CD Release Party in Ocean Beach, San Diego, California. This reggae-rock band just completed a tour along the western part of the U.S.A. According to the band, the tour went great, and Top Shelf Reggae is not surprised judging by how these guys came out to celebrate the release of their latest album, Love Tone. With such songs as “Your Game,” “Boom Bye Bye,” and “Darlin,” this 8-piece band came out with a goal to set their crowd on fire! Well, it worked as people danced, climbed on stage, and cheered for their P.O.B. Robot!
The crowd was great and reacted to this reggae night with vigor and excitement!
Arise Roots from Los Angeles, who we just wrote about, opened up the night, along with DJ Carlos Culture- a deejay highly known for spinning roots and modern-day reggae hits in San Diego! The crowd was great and reacted to this reggae night with vigor and excitement! First came the roots-sounding music of Arise Roots, and then P.O.B.’s progressive reggae got the crowd moving! The guitar play during some of P.O.B.’s songs was dynamite, the drums were on it, and the horns were blaring! And, was that a synthesizer they were using? We also saw a flute! P.O.B. also played songs off their self-titled album, and even though they had a bit of a rough end to their tour- announcing they got a flat tire right before returning to San Diego, we believe they were happy to be home! Congrats, guys, on your CD release party!
