Up-and-coming rapper Brian Thompson (aka, Stealing Oceans) releases new pop/psychedelic single “Golden Nights”: an uplifting hip hop track produced by Schmarx, with vocal production by Schmarx and Savvy and co-written by all three of the above. The Nashville native sings about the ‘golden nights’ he’s had in his life — the feeling that will never die. The song starts off with electric synth and “Na Na Na” vocals before Stealing Oceans raps about the act of recharging, as well as being thankful and grateful for every blessing. In the hook, he sings, “I don’t need another wish right now // Golden nights last forever // Like a treasure // I’ll remember all my life.” There’s also a few piano and drum beats that blend in beautifully with the electric synths.
…“Golden Nights” is a catchy song to jam out to when you’re blasting music on a long summer drive.
The bridge changes the beat and displays Thompson’s vocal range before the song ends with a little guitar riff that matches the tone in the hook, all concluding the fabulous single. With a little bit of autotune, “Golden Nights” is a catchy song to jam out to when you’re blasting music on a long summer drive.
This single joins another catchy jam “Radio Star” that was released in early April. Is another full-length Stealing Oceans LP in the near future? One could only hope. After performing at sold out festivals around the country, including three KAABOOs in the past year, Stealing Oceans’ live show is one that simply cannot be ignored.
