The single premieres today off Island Empire and Mensch House Records, with a deep walking bass and a catchy chorus that will have you humming it for days. Analea Brown's talented vocal range takes center stage throughout the track, accentuated by fluttering inflection almost as if she was massaging you with her vocal chords. Cool and bluesy, the track centers around loyalty, honesty and reciprocation in relationships. I've “given you the best of me”, so please, be straightforward instead of “sending me to my knees”, croons Brown. Relationships are messy enough without additional deception and paranoia.
Although the single comes off Brown's debut LP Queendom, the sultry chanteuse is far from a new household name. Brown's duet with Sammy Johnson “Still Wanna Be Your Lover” hit #1 on the iTunes Reggae Charts, as well as writing 5th Harmony member Dinah Jane's first two singles.
