BeachLife Festival announces stacked lineup for Fall 2021

BeachLife is BACK! For those fortunate enough to catch the first round back in 2019, BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach stands as the ultimate weekend party that you do not want to miss! Rooted in beach culture, the inaugural fest welcomed record numbers through the gates (and, when we say ‘gates’, these are ones located ON THE BEACH) for three full days of once-in-a-lifetime upscale music, art, surf and culinary experiences.

BeachLife might’ve brought huge names to the stage in its first year, but it’s Year Two that is truly impressive.

Despite a worldwide quarantine and an unexpected cancellation for May 2020, BeachLife returns triumphantly to the sandy shores of this small beach town a little later in the year than usual this September 10th through 12th. No worries. It’s SoCal — the weather will still be great! On top of the three original music stages, BeachLife staff is adding a fourth Speakeasy Stage for more intimate acts, presented by Jack Daniels. Pennywise frontman, BeachLife performing artist and Redondo Beach resident Jim Lindberg comments on the new layout: “The Speakeasy Stage is going to be the
‘out west badlands’ section of the festival, where fans can hang out with a bunch of salty punk
rockers and legendary surfers and skaters like Tom Curren and Steve Caballero playing
acoustic sets and talking story. There will also be an insane art show provided by Punk Rock &
Paintbrushes, featuring artwork from the festival’s musicians and local artists. If you’re looking for
the edgier side of the festival — on the down low — the Speakeasy will be the place you want to
be!”

And, speaking of featured artists, let’s dive into this incredible lineup! BeachLife 2021 promises rock legends Jane’s Addiction, Cage The Elephant and Counting Crows to headline, alongside brothers Ziggy and Stephen Marley, paying tribute to dad for a ‘what-was-supposed-to-be-a-75th-Anniversary-of-Bob-Marley-but-COVID-came-around-so-it’s-a-76th-Anniversary-now’ reggae sing-along to close the entire event out! More heavy-hitting alt rock and folk superstars on the list include The Revivalists, Silversun Pickups, Fitz and The Tantrums, Gary Clark Jr., Portugal. The Man, The Wallflowers, Men At Work, Sugar Ray, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals and Philly’s favorite G. Love & Special Sauce. For ska lovers, make sure to check out Save Ferris and English Beat and, for anyone wanting to really transport into outer space, there is the always-entertaining trancy vibes of Thievery Corporation! Love reggae rock? Tomorrows Bad Seeds, Fortunate Youth and DENM is right up your alley. And, if you fall somewhere in between it all, check out Larkin Poe, The White Buffalo, Cam, Phosphorescent, Brett Dennen and so many more. With over 40 bands already signed on for Year Two, it’s crazy to think one name remains unannounced! Stay tuned who will fill an additional direct support slot for Friday by following BeachLife via the social links below.

It’s not just about the music, though…

BeachLife strives to make the community a better place, playing an active role in the preservation of their coastline. By partnering with Surfrider Foundation, Heal the Bay, Life Rolls On, Redondo Beach Police Foundation, Redondo Beach Education Foundation Walk With Sally, Rob Machado Foundation and Wyland Foundation, BeachLife will be able to host an on-site auction during the festival. So keep an eye out for goodies to bid on for a good cause!

Passes are already on sale for this epic event (thanks to the notorious Sam the Intern for leaking the lineup a day early). Nonetheless, that means that lucky BeachLife fans got to grab their tickets a whole day early! There is also an extra bougey Captain’s Pass on top of the fest’s tiered VIP packages, allowing private entry, private cabanas, valet parking, a hosted bar and more! This event will sell out like before, so make sure to snag passes while you can today! For more information, visit the links below or www.beachlifefest.com.
