Parker McCollum adds even more heat to a California summer night

California’s hot summer nights heated up even more at the Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles when country singer Parker McCollum, known for his hit “Burning It Down,” rolled into town with special guest Ian Munsick. The Gold Chain Cowboy singer-songwriter from Texas is currently on tour, supporting his second major label release, “Never Enough.”

On a balmy Tuesday night, with temperatures reaching 85 degrees, Parker McCollum took the stage at the Chumash Grandstand Arena, kicking off the show with his chart-topping hit “To Be Loved By You.”

Throughout the night, fans expressed their adoration for him and his band.

As the band played, Parker engaged with the crowd, prompting fans from the pit to toss cowboy hats, cowboy boots, and bras on stage for him to autograph, as well as cellphones for selfies with the country star.

McCollum thrilled the audience with other fan-favorite hits, including “Meet You In The Middle,” “I Can’t Breathe,” “Hell Of A Year,” and “Cowboy.” Paso Robles had eagerly awaited McCollum’s performance since 2019 when a previous show was canceled. Originally slated as an opening act for the Randy Rogers Band, he has now established himself as a headliner at “The Biggest Little Fair Anywhere!” Fair attendees embraced the true country style, donning jeans with colorful plaid shirts, daisy dukes paired with crop tops, and, of course, cowboy hats and boots to dance and kick up some small-town dust.

Parker wrapped up his set with crowd-pleasers “Handle On You,” “Pretty Heart,” and a new song called “Hurricane.” If you’re in search of a great concert to attend this summer, I highly recommend catching Parker McCollum’s show. His band and crew deliver a high-energy, family-friendly, and heartfelt performance that will keep you dancing and singing along all night.

Accompanying Parker on the tour was opening artist Ian Munsick, hailing from Wyoming and promoting his sophomore album, “White Buffalo,” showcasing an American West sound. Fans eagerly anticipated hearing the hit song “Long Live Cowgirls,” featuring Cody Johnson, as Munsick has earned a reputation as an “Artist to Watch” and is making a name for himself. Hits like “Horses Are Faster,” “Cowboy Killer,” and “Long Haul” delighted the audience throughout his set.
