Outside Lands music festival is set to return on August 7th through the 9th, 2026 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, that means, the countdown is on! The festival — produced by Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly Presents, and Starr Hill Presents — is one of the main annual events to hit the city, a fest both Bay Area locals and out-of-town music lovers look forward to each summer. Golden Gate Park provides 1,017 acres a stunning landscape, too. Not only is it bigger than Central Park in New York, it allows attendees a taste of the city’s culture and community on top of natural beauty.
As excitement builds for the 2026 edition, here’s a glimpse of what awaits.
Headliners this year include rock band The Strokes, hip hop artist Baby Keem, dubstep collab Griztronics (aka, Griz and Subtronics), pop icon Charli XCX, and emo rock heavyweight Death Cab for Cutie. The diverse lineup goes on each day, with the likes of Labrinth, Glorilla, Geese, PinkPanthress, Lucy Dacus, Sienna Spiro, DJO, Rüfüs du Sol, Empire of the Sun, Disco Lines, Mariah the Scientist, Sports, Audrey Hobert, Clipse, Ethel Cain, and so many more.

The electronic SOMA stage is set to return, too, featuring house and techno artists like Boys Noize, Lane 8, Carlita, Yosuke Yukimatsu, and beyond. For LGBTQ+ and advocates, Dolores’ Stage is also set to return, celebrating the queer and trans community with a DJ set by Romy (of The XX), Kori King and Lydia B Kollins, DJ Minx, and many others. If there was ever a lineup representing the Bay Area’s ever-evolving style, 2026 is the one.
The festival will also bring back the City Hall wedding venue, which debuted in 2024.
Couples will have the unique opportunity to get married among Golden Gate Park’s towering eucalyptus trees during the festivities. Another return is “Taste of the Bay”, a celebrated gastronomic feature of the festival highlighting the diverse and rich culinary scene of the San Francisco Bay Area. From gourmet food trucks to established dining icons, attendees can savor a wide array of cuisines with vegan and vegetarian options available.
And lest we forget the libations! Beer Land returns with a curated selection of brews from local breweries, showcasing California’s thriving craft beer scene, while wine connoisseurs can head to Wine Lands, featuring 35 wineries, plus 10 more in the VIP section from favorite NorCal producers. Beer and wine not your thing? Cocktail (and mocktail) hour is always happening at six themed bars around the grounds, with mixologists crafting unique concoctions using local spirits and ingredients .

When it comes to tickets, Outside Lands is currently sold-out, but it’s not too late to sign up for the waitlist! You never know how many tickets will be up for grabs as the event nears! Already got your entry inside? Make sure to think about parking, as San Francisco tends to be limited in that arena on an everyday basis… even more so during a festival weekend. We recommend taking advantage of San Francisco’s convenient public transportation or opting for the festival’s prepaid shuttle, picking up and dropping off attendees at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium at Civic Center.
