Desert Air Fest 2024: Night One

This past weekend, the Palm Springs Air Museum lightened the Coachella Valley skies as Desert Air returned for a two-day party of music, art, and air experiences. From November 15th to 16th, festival attendees experienced a blend of world-class deejays, stunning installations, and the unique charm of Palm Springs’s desert (and international airport) setting.

Desert Air’s signature stages — Terminal and Hangar — set the fest for a lineup of international talent.

Friday night saw VTSS (the Poland-raised, London-based DJ, who stunned the Hangar with her pounding techno beats), while over at the Terminal Stage, Sam Gellaitry brought the crowd to life with his 60-minute electric house set.

A major highlight of the evening at Terminal was Club Heat, a special performance featuring Tove Lo and SG Lewis, who presented hits from their collaborative EP Club Heat released in June earlier this year. Tove Lo amazed the crowd on vocals and daring dance moves, while SG Lewis dominated the decks with his 90s-inspired rave sounds, performing crowd favorites like “Heat” and “Busy Girl”.

Closing out the night, Kaytranada took the Terminal Stage and executed a headlining set packed with groove-heavy house beats that kept the crowd vibing until the clock struck midnight. More on Day Two coming soon!
