The Aloha spirit remains strong, thanks to cultural celebrations like the Holo Holo Music Festival set to return to Sacramento and other coastal cities this fall. Featuring a dynamic lineup of top Island reggae artists — with Sacramento’s lineup including Spawnbreezie, Katchafire, Maoli, J Boog, Common Kings, Sammy Johnson, Kimie Miner, Josh Tatofi, Eli-Mac, and more — the festival offers an immersive celebration of island music and culture.

Attendees can look forward to a weekend filled with vibrant performances, traditional Polynesian dance, authentic island cuisine, and handcrafted goods from local artisan vendors.
Festival founder Dan Sheehan, a native of Oʻahu, shares his vision: “Holo Holo Music Festival was born from a love of island and reggae music — a genre deeply rooted in connection, culture, and movement. When we first envisioned Holo Holo, our goal was to bring the music of Hawaiʻi to the mainland, as a gift to those who are homesick for the sounds and feelings of home.” Fittingly, the term holo holo means “to travel, to sail, to move”, reflecting the spirit that drives this unique event.
Taking place September 21st and 22nd at Heart Health Park at Cal Expo, Holo Holo Sacramento promises a vibrant and memorable experience, thrown by Good Vibez Presents, an organization with more than 25 years of experience producing immersive, multidimensional music events across the West Coast, Hawaiʻi, Arizona, North Carolina, and Mexico. Known for producing the nationally renowned California Roots Music & Arts Festival in Monterey, the largest reggae rock festival in the U.S., Good Vibez Presents is committed to building community through music while supporting nonprofits, small businesses, and independent artists alike.
