On Friday, August 1st, country music star Morgan Wallen brought the first two nights of his highly anticipated I’m The Problem Tour to Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California — home of the San Francisco 49ers. Morgan Wallen has just released his fourth studio album I’m The Problem on May 16th, shattering records with 36 of the 37 tracks landing within the Hot 100 list and making it his third #1 album to date.

Kicking off the show early at 5:15pm was rising star Zach John King from Lafayette, Georgia. Anne Wilson followed shortly after (and I mean shortly!!) at 6pm. Both sets were bite-sized, yet sweet, making room for GRAMMY-winner and country music royalty Miranda Lambert to come out next.

Lambert was at the top of her game — looking and sounding amazing.

She knocked out all her hits, such as “Kerosene”, “The House That Built Me”, “Bluebird”, “Drunk (And I Don’t Want To Go Home)”, and “Little Red Wagon”, ending her 15-song set with “Gunpowder & Lead”. Miranda even paid tribute to Morgan Wallen by performing a cover of “Thought You Should Know”, which she helped co-write for his 2023 album, One Thing At A Time.

After Miranda Lambert’s stellar performance, there was a long break for the audience to fill their whiskey glasses before the main man took the stage. And boy, did he ever, alongside legendary San Francisco sports icons Steve Young and Barry Bonds. Production for the event was topnotch; it featured a massive stage that extended into the crowd with jaw-dropping pyrotechnics throughout. There was also a smaller B stage farther back on the opposite side of the stadium, where Morgan Wallen unexpectedly performed three songs midway through the set, including one where he performed on a piano that lifted on risers!

Morgan Wallen and his band members maintained high energy, never letting off the throttle.

Wallen must have run up and down the massive runway stage a hundred times! Wallen’s guitarist would sometimes even join him, racing down stage with the pyrotechnics lighting their trail. Two standout moments happened when Wallen brought out special guests: first, Zach John King came back out to duet “Up Down” (a track Wallen released with Florida Georgia Line for his first 2018 studio album, If I Know Me); immediately after, Miranda Lambert was welcomed back to the stage to co-perform his 2023 release “Cowgirls” (the recorded song featuring ERNEST). The dynamic between Wallen and his two special guests was electric… plus, it was sweet to see Morgan share the stage!

All in all, the show was a 10/10 from my perspective. The crowd, who were all decked out in their finest cowboy boots and hats, seemed to be having an amazing time and stayed respectful of others. The artists and crew delivered an amazing experience and Morgan Wallen was on fire playing all his hits. My only wish was that I got to go see round two the second night!
