Bass Camp 2024: Day Two

Bass Camp has gone through many evolutions in its decade of festivities, but the consensus with the crowd is clear that this year’s formula is the sweet spot. The festival has returned to its new home at Wingfield Park in downtown Reno, allowing for use of the refreshing Truckee River right alongside the stages of the festival. Bass Camp debuted this extremely popular location last year for its one-day run; it was decided that adding the Sunday onward would be the next logical step.

Basscamp’s second day addition proves to be the best decision for the fest yet.

Thanks to the festival location of Reno, afterparties at close hotspots Deadringer, The Loving Cup, and The Alpine held down the city’s local and visiting Bass Campers who were still revved up from the main festival’s insane music, bridging the gap in the early hours of Sunday. Reno wanted to party all weekend — and Basscamp delivered.

And the festival’s music on Day Two?! Wow, where do we even begin…?!

Opening up the cool Dancetronaught art car stage was Daneger, who got the crowd in the gate and straight to their stage to ignite the festivities. As the day went on at the sweet fire-spewing art car stage, the music got grimier, bassier, and ultimately provided some of the funnest headbanging atmosphere I’ve ever seen. The crowd even erupted into a mosh during the sunset as Bear Grillz laid it down for the Bass Campers. Over on the main stage, the vibe was similar but in its own right. Heavyhitting favorites Whipped Cream and Zeds Dead gave us the real, primal beats for headbanging bliss, while Joyryde and What So Not soothed our souls with their euphoric beats. What So Not even debuted his first single track with his vocals, which he absolutely CRUSHED by the way.

Looking back, Bass Camp truly had its best year (yet). Reno has proven time and again that it’s the perfect place to hold this gem — and the fans agree. With scenic views, a refreshing dip in the river, and the hottest performances of the year taking place, Bass Camp has really found their mark.
