We arrived to the first day of Dry Diggings later than originally planned, but we could still feel the excitement in the air as the sun began to set and Barrington Levy took the stage. The Expendables followed Barrington’s high-energy performance. They rocked the stage as always with shredding guitar solos. The beat-boxing rapper, Matisyahu closed out the first day of the festival. Kash’d Out started off Day 2 of Dry Diggings, setting the perfect vibe for the rest of the day. Iya Terra was up next. They killed the stage with a dynamic set that pumped up the crowd. Other memorable acts from the day included Thrive, Arden Park Roots, Seedless, and Tomorrows Bad Seeds. The band Orgone mixed things up with their funky jam band sound followed by Josh Heinrichs who soothed everyone’s soul with his passionate vocals. Dilated Peoples member, Evidence, kept the crowd hyped into the evening. The last performance of the day we were able to catch was Nahko & Medicine For The People. Their live set is an entire experience in itself and was the perfect ending to our Dry Diggings weekend.
