K. Flay at San Diego’s Observatory North Park
K. Flay’s Solutions Tour hit San Diego at The Observatory North Park on Thursday, September 5th, 2019. Starting the night off right was “not MY Smith, but Your Smith”, dancing her way in to get the crowd hyped with powerful vocals backed by soothing beats and catchy tunes. Formally known as ‘Caroline Smith’, Your Smith is a fun, attention-grabbing ball of energy that exuded talent, nailing the performance of her hit “Bad Habit”.
Topping the night off was an unforgettable performance from K. Flay, beside her incredible live band.
Following Smith’s performance came Houses, a electro-pop duo from Chicago. Singer/keyboardist Dexter Tortoriello and backup vocalist Megan Messina create a dreamy electricity alongside their lively band. Houses got everybody in the place grooving, playing their most recent hits “Fast Talk” and “Hold Me Up”. Topping the night off was an unforgettable performance from K. Flay, beside her incredible live band. The stage setup alone was amazing, as it consisted of light-up stairs with the band at the very top. K. Flay’s dramatic entrance got the audience ready to go as the band’s silhouettes appeared on the top and the music began. The rapper/musician brought the hype, jumping from one stair to another, into the faces of the crowd and back up to the top of the elaborate stage to jam with her guitarist’s solo session. K. Flay brought exactly what the audience came for with her tunes “Bad Vibes”, “Sister”, “High Enough” and so many more. Catch the Solutions Tour this fall and K. Flay’s incredible performance as it continues through the United States and Canada… and Europe in the winter!
