Rebelution at the OC Fair: Night Two
The warm summer sun and the sweet scent of fried foods enticed fans for Day Two to the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa on Saturday, July 13th, 2019. DJ Mackle, Iya Terra, Collie Buddz and Rebelution lit up the stage for the second night of rocking reggae.
DJ Mackle spun mad reggae mixes, as fans flocked to their seats, excited to see Los Angeles band Iya Terra. The band has been busy on the road and recording a new album, playing “Follow Your Heart” onstage — their latest single, featuring The Green. The group continued to entertain fans, with favorites such as “Movement” and “Humble”.

In between sets, DJ Mackle was back at it, keeping the masses moving to his sound selection of songs. Fans rushed the stage to get close to the sweet and smooth sounds of Bermuda-based Collie Buddz. Fans danced and sang along, celebrating the release of the long-awaited new album Hybrid. Buddz played fan favorites like “Come Around”, “Tomorrow’s Another Day” and “Good Life”, while introducing fans to new songs like “Love & Reggae”. It wouldn’t be a Collie Buddz show without fan-favorite “Blind To You”, as Buddz asked the crowd to show the middle finger to all of their haters, while inviting a fan onstage to sing along.
In true fashion, Santa Barbara-based Rebelution came out with their kickass light and stage show, lighting up the Orange County Fair skies. Frontman Eric Rachmany and his solid band entertained fans with the backing of local insane sax player Eric Hirschhorn on percussions. Fans danced the night away, singing at the top of their lungs to favorites like “Good Vibes”, “Feeling Alright” and “Pretty Lady”, while Rory Carey on keys, Marley D. Williams on bass and Wesley Finley on drums kept the good vibes rolling. Be sure to catch all of these bands this summer in a city near you!
