Rebelution’s Summer Good Vibes Tour hits St. Pete, FL

Reggae fans in St. Petersburg came out in masses Sunday night, August 19th for the Summer Good Vibes Tour featuring Rebelution! Even with the weeks of rain leading up to the event, the skies cleared and the bands kicked it off with nothing but good vibes all night, thanks to great music, weather and atmosphere. People on boats, jet skis, kayaks and paddle boards all packed in to hear some tasty jams by these amazing artists. Everyone was ready for an exciting night filled with food, drinks, reggae music, dancing and a fun time with family and friends!

Collie Buddz was first of the special guests to get things started with some of his amazing reggae; he had everybody fired up when he sang “Legal Now”, “Love & Reggae”, “Blind To You” and a lot more. Collies Buddz is a Bermudian reggae artist, best known for his single “Come Around” who has been selling out venues across the USA and worldwide for over a decade.

Reb had the crowd dancing and jumping with excitement to their Good Vibes.

Next up from Jamaica was the artist known as Protoje, who brought his traditional Jamaican reggae roots with him alongside her Indiggnation Band. Protoje has topped the charts worldwide and has sold-out headline tours in the USA and Europe. Protoje played some amazing new songs, as well as some older popular hits, like “Who Knows”, “Kingston Be Wise” and “Rasta Love” that had everyone dancing into the sunset with one-of-a-kind reggae vibes.

Last, but certainly not least, Rebelution hit the stage with their creative California reggae sound, which has landed them on top of the reggae billboard charts, also earning the group a GRAMMY nomination in the category of ‘Best Reggae Album’. The members of the band include Eric Rachmany (singer, guitarist), Rory Carey (keyboardist), Marley D. Williams (bassist), Wesley Finley (drummer) and touring members include Kyle Ahern (guitar), Zach Meverowitz (trumpet) and Eric Hirschhorn (saxophone). They killed it with hits like “Feeling Alright”, Count Me In”, “Lazy Afternoon” and new jams like “Celebrate” off of their sixth studio album Free Rein. Reb had the crowd dancing and jumping with excitement to their Good Vibes. By the end of the night, the crowd was begging for more.

It was an amazing night of good music with an amazing light show. If you ever get a chance to catch any of these groups live, I would totally recommend it! When you travel near St. Petersburg, come catch our shows: we have great venues, with the best music coming to us from all around the country and world. Catch you at the next show!
