Sick New World 2024

Sick New World made its crushing sold-out debut in 2023 and there’s no stopping this fantastic fest, bringing together the best in modern rock. With their second year, Goldenvoice has proven SNW to be a landmark for Las Vegas festivals.

Along with their second year came upgrades! Everyone got wristbands this year!

It was a nice souvenir to remember seeing the most recognizable acts in rock history. Now, what’s a music festival without stages? The fest also upped to a total of five stages, instead of four in 2023. And, if you went to the inaugural year, we know your favorite upgrade is having the festival this time in April instead of May — the heat hit harder than some of the bands last year. 🥵

The one-day 2nd Annual took place on April 27th, 2024, at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds and featured over 65 artists. Sick New World‘s inauguration was, without a doubt, the biggest metal/rock festival seen since the newly revamped When We Were Young Fest (also a product of Goldenvoice, although that one caters more to emo rockers).

The artists for 2024 ranged from nu-metal icons, like System of a Down, Slipknot, and Static-X, to the best in the hardcore scene: Knocked Loose, ZULU, Incendiary, and so many others. They even included pioneers of the goth industrial scene, Front Line Assembly, along with favorites like The Vowws and Combichrist. Whether you attended Sick New World to see one of your favorite bands or your best friend wanted someone to go with, there was never a dull moment. From seeing the original artists that have inspired rising artists of today to being around likeminded individuals that love live music to having gorgeous stilt performers pose with you as photo ops, there was always something to do at Sick New World.

If you’re seeing all the videos from Sick New World 2024 and wish you could have gone, don’t get FOMO again next year.

If it’s anything like last year, lineups and tickets will be revealed sometime around this October. Follow the festival’s socials @SickNewWorld (and while you’re at it, @TopShelfMusicMag) to be the first to know any update for the third annual. Until then, we’ll have the When We Were Young in October to keep our rock spirit alive!
