System Of A Down & Korn destroy San Diego

On February 1st, Armenian-American rock emissaries System Of A Down brought their epic 2022 tour with Korn to San Diego. Russian Circles kicked off the show with a short set. It was a solid performance that got everyone pumped for the rest of the evening.

Once Russian Circles wrapped, Korn hit the stage with Suicidal Tendencies bassist Roberto “Ra” Diaz filling in for Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu during his hiatus for “personal reasons”. Despite Fieldy’s absence, the band sounded great. Korn’s set consisted of some of their older hits, including “Shoots And Ladders”, “Ya’ll Want A Single”, “Freak On A Leash“ and “Blind”, as well as a couple of brand new songs form their new album, Requiem.

After Korn, it was time for the headliners of the evening, System Of A Down.

The band’s set was high energy and pleasantly chaotic, featuring a mix of songs from each of their five albums as well as a couple of new ones. System Of A Down appeared to have as much fun onstage, as their fans who were singing along, dancing and moshing the entire night! Couldn’t ask for a better show.
