Tribal Seeds at Escondido’s Concerts on the Green: Night One
Tribal Seeds returned to their hometown for a special two-day performance, with special guests and fellow southern California reggae bands The Expanders and SM Familia on May 28th, 2021. Concerts On The Green hosted the event at the San Diego’s Center for the Arts in Escondido, CA. The interesting setup was perfect during this beautiful California sunny day. It was a socially-distanced outdoor ‘pod’ set up, with 8×8 reserved squares six feet apart on a large grassy lawn.Ā
Starting the show off with bright, positive energy, the seven-member group of SM Familia brought their incredible blend of Latin, funk, reggae and cumbia sounds to the stage.
SM Familia’s music brought the crowd sparks of joy through their uplifting songs — singing both in English and in Spanish.Ā Next up, originating from Los Angeles, the roots and culture reggae group The Expanders took the stage, putting on a great show, emanating their classic Jamaican reggae influences through their social and spiritually-conscious hits.Ā
Ending the concert with a bang, Tribal Seeds got the whole crowd up on their feet, singing and dancing the rest of the night away to their driving and dynamic hits, such as “Rude Girl”, “In Your Eyes”, “Vampire” and “Gunsmoke”.Ā It was yet another great concert as the world continues to reopen, with so much more to go!
