Ziggy Marley at Pacific AMP

It was a real roots reggae night, as the sweet sounds of Jamaican legends Ras Michael, Toots and the Maytals and Ziggy Marley entertained ecstatic fans at Southern California’s Pacific Amphitheatre on July 19th, 2019.

Ras Michael, born Michael George Henry, and his immensely talented band and beautiful backup singers captivated the audience. They infuse a unique sound, self-described as “Rastafarian chant, reggae, southern soul and psychedelia, greatly enhanced by its imaginative arrangements”.

… Marley played fan favorites as well as some of his father’s infamous tunes.

Toots and the Maytals brought the enthusiastic crowd to their feet next. Fans were dancing and skanking, as frontman Toots Hibbert sent fans into a frenzy as he interacted with them from the stage.

Ziggy Marley lit the night afire as he took to the stage, backed by his band of skilled musicians and equally gorgeous backup singers as the first. The good vibes of the night carried on, as Marley played fan favorites as well as some of his father’s infamous tunes. Be sure to catch up with these guys this summer in a city near you!
