From competing for a crown in the Miss Maui Scholarship Pageant in her early years, to making a guest appearance on SOJA’s 2015 GRAMMY nominated album Amid the Noise and Haste, the Hawaiian born female artist Anuhea continues to turn heads time and time again.
Anuhea continues to turn heads time and time again
This time around, Anuhea drops a new single titled “Sweet Thing.” The track is a heavy tribute to the 1975 number one R&B single from Rufus and Chaka Khan which was then covered by the iconic 90's R&B singer Mary J. Blige eighteen years later. Anuhea's version however, is right down our alley layering in her Hawaiian flair. The three and a half minute single squeezes a lot of diversity into a relatively short time frame. Reggae, R&B, and soul – it's all there.
