BeachLife 2022 announced once again for May

After a year postponed and an unusual fall placement for the second annual, Redondo Beach’s best music and arts festival returns to its original May positioning for 2022. Of course, we’re talking about BeachLife, Orange County’s unparalleled weekend event where multi-genre music meets California beach culture unlike any other. As of this morning, BeachLife fans near and far finally received the full rundown for the *third annual (albeit no-consecutive) and no one was left disappointed.

BeachLife staff dropped little lineup hints around the holidays, indicating that SoCal alt legends Weezer were to be involved for Year 3… yet, no one expected the density of talent to come!

Year One of BeachLife brought three nights of the greats — Bob Weir, Willie Nelson and Brian Wilson (of the Beach Boys). As Year Two was forced to reconstruct its initial lineup due to COVID, September of 2021 still brought to the BeachLife stages Jane’s Addiction, Counting Crows and Ziggy and Stephen Marley, doing songs of their dad. Not bad, considering it was amidst a global crisis! But, how could it get any better, you ask? Fast forward to Spring 2022, when BeachLife has planned arguably the best lineup to date! Going down the weekend of May 13th through 15th, BeachLife welcomes headliners Weezer and 311 for Friday night, The Smashing Pumpkins Saturday and a grand finale with Steve Miller Band (first planned for 2020) on Sunday.

Want more? You got it. Spanning three stages, BeachLife 2022 will further offer GRAMMY winners Black Pumas, Sheryl Crow, Vance Joy, Stone Temple Pilots, Cold War Kids, Lord Huron, Milky Chance and so much more! Love reggae? You’re in the right spot. Check out Long Beach Dub Allstars, UB40 (featuring Ali Campbell), Magic!, Landon McNamara, Tomorrows Bad Seeds (going acoustic this time), Dan Kelly (of Fortunate Youth), The Aggrolites and Matisyahu. Want a more world music sound? Michael Franti & Spearhead might have your fix although Ozomatli is right up your alley. Like blues, soul and funk? Donavon Frankenreiter returns for another BeachLife performance, alongside Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and The Allman Betts Band. Now, for everyone loving rock, alternative and Top 40, there will be Cannons, Atlas Genius, Sugar Ray, The Record Company, Jim Lindberg (of Pennywise), The Allman Betts Band and beyond.

Posited right on the beach for attendees to walk around with their toes in the sand, BeachLife is the perfect apex of laidback vibes and event professionalism. Tickets for BeachLife 2022 are now on sale, starting at the reasonably low price of $419 for weekend general admission. This is the debut year that the festival offers General Admission Plus tickets, allowing unlimited re-entry to the fest (unlike normal GA), so keep this in mind at checkout. Naturally, upgrading to VIP is always the way to go in order to experience this festival to the fullest. And, if you really want to live the high life, the prestigious Captain’s Pass gets you VIP status and beyond, allowing you to truly live like a rockstar (as you walk amongst actual rockstars). This is also the first year that BeachLife will be using RFID bracelets for entry, with detailed instructions for activation sent upon purchase and delivery.
