Falling in Reverse is back with the new song “Zombified”, the first single from their upcoming Neon Zombie EP. The opening riff hits immediately — it’s one of their hardest riffs to date. Shortly after, the opening lyrics kick in: “The monsters are living under your bed // Cause they are the voices in your head.”
This song is all about cancel culture and what’s going on in the world today.
And, I can’t get enough of it! Ronnie Radke not only drives the point home with this song, he’s a man that can take a song and hypnotize you with his lyrics. This isn’t much different than “Popular Monster”: instead of slow in the beginning, like “Popular Monster”, you have hard and heavy at the start, yet the same feel for the listener that “Popular Monster” creates. Ronnie’s clean vocals have only gotten better since the release of “Popular Monster” and I will definitely have this one on repeat for a long time. Hopefully, Neon Zombie leads to a full-length release, because (from what I know of FIR fans, including myself) we have all been itching for the next Falling in Reverse album!
The new song also has an amazing video accompanying its release — it’s like watching a movie! FIR really pulled out all the stops to make it and it’s wonderful what this band can do. The video shows Radke thrown into the middle of a zombie apocalypse, probably one of the best videos the band has ever done (with “Popular Monster” being a close second). I can’t wait to hear the other songs from this up coming EP! As I mentioned before, I really hope this EP leads to another album, because it’s been a long while since FIR fans have gotten one.
Falling in Reverse will be embarking on the Live From The Unknown Tour, alongside Wage War, Hawthorne heights and Jeris Johnson. It will be the first tour back since they toured with Ice Nine Kills in 2019, which was a phenomenal sight! If you’ve never witnessed the band in action, Falling in Reverse puts on some of the best live shows ever. Ronnie Radke is a man of many talents and “Zombified” just proves it. Their win at the APMAs for ‘Best Live Band’ also says a lot. So, go listen to the new “Zombified” single now while patiently waiting for the Neon Zombie EP to emerge.
