Cabeza de Vinil, or “Vinyl Head”, returns with a lyric video for their latest “Rebotril” heavy rock single! Stationed in Costa Rica, this alternative rock band has ascended to a contemporary name after being a national act for over a decade. Now, following the release of their fourth studio album (on pressed vinyl, no less), Cabeza de Vinil pushes “Rebotril” into the spotlight.
For lovers of Latin heavy rock, “Rebotril” will have you hooked.
Singing of mystical forces and self-medication, Cabeza de Vinil serves up an intravenous injection of rock. “Rebotril rock”, to be exact. Known in the U.S. as ‘Revotril’, a brand name for the benzodiazepine Clonazepam, the drug is prescribed to treat those afflicted with anxiety, panic disorders and seizures. It is lethal when combined with illicit substances, thus prompting the band to warn its listeners of “when magic mixes with what lurks” beneath. Let’s not be controlled by fear; it’s time to break free of “chains”, boundaries… even “gravity”.
The single was recorded inside the band’s Long Beach Records LATAM label, mixed by Alberto Terán and mastered by Arimaka Studios’ Manuel Jiménez in Los Angeles. Guitarist Miguel Garcia also lent a hand on the song, adding edgy guitar licks and riffs for any metal lover to enjoy. With the release now out on over 40 streaming services, listen to “Rebotril” anywhere you go and make sure to peep the new lyric video below.
