After two full days frolicking in the *intense* Coachella heat, Top Shelf was blessed to check out Goldenvoice‘s posh popup at the Palm Springs Surf Club before heading back in for the Day Three finalé.

Approximately 20 minutes away from the Empire Polo Grounds, the Palm Springs Surf Club is an expansive 21-acre, all-adult waterpark (or at least it was for this weekend!!), complete with waterslides, a lazy river, and a giant 68,000-square-foot wave pool you can actually surf! Of course, refreshing craft beverages were being served all along the grounds as we entered and explored, as well as gourmet food options from Amala, the surf club’s restaurant.

Walking in, you were immediately hit with a ‘Boogie Nights’ vibe.

Everyone was dressed to the nines — even in shorts and bikinis! The fashion, the hairstyles, the festival flair from the weekend… it was like walking into a party of all eras and styles going on all at once. Over the speakers, EDM artist Neil Frances‘ upbeat set was in full swing, going down live over on at adjacent amphitheater situated just around the wave pool. Before hitting the dancefloor, however, we HAD to get into the lazy river for a few go-rounds!

It couldn’t have been a better day for fun in the sun, with the main pool filled with people having a great time. Again, no kids were allowed in, so the scene was like a Hollywood movie — the kind of pool party you search for in Vegas (yet rarely seem to find). Goldenvoice ensured everyone full hospitality, too, with giveaways like sunnies and fans, as well as free bottled water for all. What a treat.

Leaving as the sun set, we knew that half the festival day was already behind us… but we had no regrets. The Goldenvoice Surf Club was the only place we wanted to be and we cannot stress enough for Coachella attendees to get tickets to this lush event for next year!

By the time we were changed and at the festival gate, we caught the remainder of performances from the likes of J Balvin, Khruangbin, Boy Harsher, Jhené Aiko, BICEP, and, of course, Doja Cat. Cheers to another year of Coachella!
