Deep in the good old-west of Arizona, a different kind of festival is emerging. Pure Imagination Festival is back for its second installment and is offering an experience unlike any other in the breathtaking landscape of the Prescott National Forest. In fact, the festival is just minutes away from Prescott’s picturesque downtown (get your boots and your camera)! This female led and curated celebration prides itself in being environmentally forward, family friendly and hey lets say it, the lineup announcement is just insane.
Pure Imagination has just dropped its eclectic lineup featuring intimate performances from reggae royalty Ziggy Marley, Grammy winner Lucinda Williams with her live band, recent Grammy winner Allison Russell, southern hip hop stars Nappy Roots, Grammy nominee Brandy Clark, alternative radio favorites Capital Cities and Jared James Nichols. Other incredible acts that can’t be missed include The Brummies, Johan Glidden, and Ponderosa Grove, whose frontwoman Candace Devine founded Pure Imagination Festival.
“Pure Imagination has been a dream of mine for a long time and it was amazing to see everyone that came forward last year in support of music and the arts for this very treasured and unique experience. We have a spectacular line-up this year and we can’t wait to astonish everyone with a day of magic and music that holds a vibrant loving community of people at the center of all of it,” said Devine.
In addition to this stellar lineup, the festival will include miles of hiking trails along the grounds of Watson Lake Park. Festival goers can also expect on-site lawn games, frisbee golf, camping and kayaking! Attendees can also explore the area of downtown Prescott nearby for some real wild west photo ops! Anybody who was lucky to check out the festival last year will be stoked to see tons of other experiences returning, including art cars and interactive exhibits (in “Art Ally), a kids zone complete with kiddie jams and a kids talent show (kids under 7 are free!), aerialists, stalk walkers with dancers, lounge spaces and finally the Hope Water Clan Dance Troupe. Entertainment at every corner! There is also VIP options offered for an even more enhanced experience that provides its own camp experience and separate designated lounge areas.
The festival will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Flying Horse Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting arts and music in multicultural spaces including the betterment of at-risk youths.
