G. Love’s Cape Cod Roots & Blues Fest returns for Year 2

G. Love’s Cape Cod Roots & Blues Fest returns for Year 2

A beacon of the alternative music industry, G. Love commemorates his 26th year with his Special Sauce band with the return of his Cape Cod Roots & Blues Festival. Originally celebrating a quarter century in the performance world, G. Love brings together another round of the best in blues music to Nauset Beach of Orleans, MA this September 14th, naturally headlining the event again at night. Not only that, but the 2nd Annual Cape Cod Fest is set to double down on food vendors, water stations and boasts a new designated kids zone for the little ones!

With all this talent, Cape Cod Fest 2 cannot help but be wicked satisfying.

The rootsy, bluesy icon is proud to host a family-friendly festival where he has resided for nearly a decade. “I’m thrilled to announce the 2nd Annual Cape Cod Roots & Blues Festival,” G. Love states. “After last September’s perfect launch, our celebration of music, family, community and Cape Cod is back again. I can’t wait to jam with my friends and bring a whole lot of love to Nauset Beach.”

Joining the family-oriented atmosphere are alt pioneers all-around. Citizen Cope, endlessly traversing the line between underground and mainstream, performs as direct support to G. Love, while Chad Stokes (of Dispatch, State Radio) & The Pintos perform midday. Mihali (of Twiddle) is always an entertaining entity of any festival, taking jam band mentality to a level beyond comprehension, and bedroom-produced Boston-based deejay Clearcola is set to kick it all off. With all this talent, Cape Cod Fest 2 cannot help but be wicked satisfying.

The festival once again partners with Friends of Nauset Beach, a nonprofit organization aiming to reduce pollution along the shoreline and educate the masses on sustainability (pun intended, being stationed in Massachusetts). With that in mind, make sure to leave the beach how you found it when attending!

Tickets for this rootsy shindig on the lake are already on sale, with general admission starting as low as $60. Want to start the party early? VIP tickets for $40 more gets you into the official pre-party the day before at Hog Island Beer Company — the fest’s exclusive beer host — with a special solo acoustic performance by G. Love himself.
