Get funky fresh this Labor Day Weekend at Fool in Love Fest

The creators of Darker Waves have done it again — only this time hopping genres. In the span of one summer day in LA, all the funk, soul, and R&B icons of the 60s, 70s, and 80s are coming together for the grooviest happening the world has yet to see. Seriously, this is not a drill! The Hollywood Park Grounds at Sofi Stadium is about to be transformed on August 31st into the craziest disco inferno of the summer.

Both the talent and the temperature will bring the heat — it’s Labor Day Weekend!

And what a holiday soundtrack it’s about to be… The inaugural Fool in Love Fest is jam-packed with heavyweight names of the late 70s / early 80s, such as ‘Mr. Let-Me-Set-the-Mood’ Lionel Richie and disco queen Supreme, Ms. Diana Ross. There will be Nile Rodgers & Chic, Al Green, Santana, Charlie Wilson, Gladys Knight, The Isley Brothers, Chaka Khan (cue the girl power vibes), Eric Burden & The Animals, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, and SO MANY MORE. It’s overwhelming: you can hop from the groovy “Why Can’t We Be Friends” vibes of War to the “Get Down On It” disco dancing of Kool & The Gang; the smooth R&B crooning of Smokey Robinson to the digitized sounds of Zapp.

There are even more modern bands in the mix, carrying the funky, fresh R&B torch of the past pioneers to newer generations. Names such as Durand Jones & The Indications (a set not to be missed, if you can help it), as well as Thee Sacred, Souls, Baby Bash, Lil Rob, and more are set to appear in between seasoned soul veterans. Even Los Lobos is joining the party!

Tickets for Fool In Love are on sale now, with deals starting at just $19.99 down! With so much to do in one day, the experience is EVERYTHING, so we recommend looking into VIP upgrades to up the viewing, the entry, and the everything in between.
