Six months ago, the fastest growing festival in the nation announced another site to call home. What was principally known as KAABOO Del Mar has now morphed into a festival conglomeration of epic entertainment proportions, encompassing the Caribbean waters and the state of Texas for 2019 on top of its sunny San Diego roots. 2019 marks five years strong for the fest at the Del Mar Racetrack, so it’s only fitting that this milestone be marked with the two new sites of Grand Cayman and Arlington, Texas.
Clearly, even KAABOO is bigger in Texas.
After word spread that KAABOO partnered with Jerry Jones and family to bring three days of topnotch music and more to the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium, football-meets-music lovers everywhere could not have been more excited. With the stadium known for its gargantuan projector screen, what venue could be more perfect to host another extravagant KAABOO event? With baited breath and a bunch of ticket money burning a hole in our pockets, everyone waited to hear who would be featured for the first annual.
Now that it’s almost KAABOO Cayman time, the KAABOO crew felt it fitting to announce the Texas lineup. Make note that the original event was meant for the weekend of May 3rd through 5th; the new dates for KAABOO Texas are now May 10th-12th! The shift actually comes as a relief, for other music events like BeachLife and the 50th Annual New Orleans Jazz Fest fall the first weekend of May. Festival junkies, you can now attend it all.
Touching on ‘attending it all’, KAABOO is much more than merely music. Although world-class acts are about to grace the Arlington stage (more on that in a second), KAABOO moreover offers the full experience of luxury at your fingertips with laugh-out-loud comedic performances, live art installations and famous vendors, primping and pampering indulgence booths, artisanal tastings by renowned chefs, after hour parties and an entire pool zone complete with cabanas. All this within a football stadium? Yep. KAABOO is the one festival that can do anything.
So, let’s talk music! Headlining Year One in Texas will be The Killers, Sting and heralded southern artists, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kid Rock. More performers include Little Big Town, The Avett Brothers, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Pitbull, Counting Crows, Alanis Morissette, The Black Eyed Peas, Ludacris, Flo Rida, Blue October, Collective Soul, Bush, Garbage, The B-52s, Andy Grammer, Rick Springfield, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real, Violent Femmes, Eric Burdon & The Animals, X, Jon Anderson (of Yes), Old 97’s, The English Beat, Los Lonely Boys, The Band Camino, Larkin Poe, American Aquarium, Israel Nash, Your Smith, The Dip, Acid Dad and MamaFesta… and more to be announced! Clearly, even KAABOO is bigger in Texas.
That’s not all! By adding a ‘BASK’ ticket to the weekend, you not only get access to the exclusive BASK pool and lounge areas, but can also attend DJ sets by Cash Cash, Chantel Jeffries, Chromeo, CVBZ, Kap Slap, Le Youth, Mix Master Mike, Paul Oakenfold and The Him. Ain’t no party like a KAABOO pool party, let us tell you. And, lest we forget, all the A-list comedians scheduled throughout the weekend on the Humor Me Stage: Dennis Miller, Grad Garrrett, Demetri Martin, Garfunkel and Oates, Whitney Cummings, Nate Bargatze, Jim Breuer, Rory Scovel, Heather McDonald, Chad Daniels, Orny Adams, Fortune Feimster, Kate Willett, Billy Wayne Davis, Chris “CP” Powell and MK Paulsen. KAABOO Texas, you’ve simply outdone yourself.

As per usual, the full lineup reveal means that weekend passes are available for purchase. General admission (“Lone Star”) passes are currently as low as $299 and there are, of course, several VIP upgrades. Standard VIP (“Blue Star”) weekend passes get you early entry and access to bougey AMPLIFY zones with priority access lanes. However, if you truly want to ball out, there is the Platinum VIP or “Rockstar” pass that enables you front row and side stage viewing, complimentary food and beverages, access to artist lounges and more. Want to be treated like royalty (or at least one of the musical headliners)? The Ultimate Hang pass, prestigious and limited, goes for $20k and allows you to scamper around the fest like you own the place. Too steep? Don’t worry, KAABOO will work with you for any of the above options if you qualify for payment plans. Don’t forget about parking! From general parking to preferred to valet, plan ahead by securing a pass. There will also be shuttle services, Uber lines and for those who really want to save, the Arlington Trolley!
