Attention SoCal music junkes! Wonderfront Festival is BACK this year, bringing their uniquely beautiful experience to the shores of San Diego, California on November 18th, 19th and 20th, 2022! They have a beautiful lineup to match, starring Zac Brown Band, Kings Of Leon, Gwen Stefani and so many more incredible artists that you do not want to miss out on!
After a two-year obvious hiatus, Wonderfront is finally returning for its sophomore edition.
The roster of names for 2022 appeals to a wider audience than its 2019 inaugural year, entreating to all ages and genres. Hip hop icon G-Eazy, indie rock heavyweight Young the Giant and Top 40-friendly Fitz & The Tantrums are all set to perform, alongside contemporary star Lauren Daigle, alt pop’s Noah Cyrus, alt rockers Judah & The Lion, pop rock’s Mod Sun, folk reggae’s Trevor Hall and country queen Cam… and these are just a handful of artists slated to perform all over the strategically placed stages in the port of San Diego! I can genuinely say that all of our music boxes have been checked! You’ll certainly find something for everybody. We even have GRAMMY-winning Big Boi (most famously known for co-founding OutKast) and Bob Marley’s own grandson Skip Marley spicing up the mix with those reggae vibes! From your pregame all the way to your end-of-day wind-down, there’s a set for every mood this year at Wonderfront.
In addition to a vastly expanded lineup, Wonderfront has also changed up their VIP options for their newly expected audience. Along with the usual ticket options seen at standard festivals, WF will be offering a very high-end VIP package (at about $12,500 or MORE) to accommodate your very own hotel room in downtown San Diego (in close proximity to the festival), a special concierge, backstage artist meet-ups, exclusive culinary experiences and private yacht experiences, complete with your own private performances! These VVIP passes are expected to be limited to about 50, while standard VIP (preferred viewing areas, restrooms, etc.) will be limited to about 1,000 to keep those areas open. The festival’s slogan “Where the City Meets the Sea” refers to the open air buses and water taxis provided to shuttle attendees throughout the city and around San Diego’s scenic harbor. In 2019, two stages were located at the Hilton Bayfront Park and the Broadway Port Pier, with two main stages at Embarcadero Marina Park and Seaport Village, also housing the majority of the festival’s blueprint. Who knows where the fest will expand to this year!
Tickets JUST went on presale as of April 7th, to which you can only purchase if you’ve signed up for early bird access on the official Wonderfront website! Soon, the first release of tickets will be available to the general public, with an expected price of about $300 for three-day passes and VIP priced around $1300. Wonderfront representative Ernie Hahn Jr. says to expect single-day tickets to go on sale closer to the event (only if three-day passes have not sold out by then), but, let’s be honest, these are expected to sell out in each tier VERY fast, given that all other major festivals with epic headliners like these have been selling out in record time this year. In addition, more artists (including one more headliner) are expected to be announced in May, so get your tickets at their lowest possible price now!
