Nashville’s rising rock ‘n roll group 7Descent premieres their latest single “Southwest Chief” today on Top Shelf before it hits digital outlets on December 10th! You might want to slow down during the holiday season, but your soundtrack shouldn’t… at least, not according to 7Descent.
For fans of heavy metal, you’ll instantly be hooked by this song.
Building in tempo like a Mötley ballad, with wailing vocals like Bon Jovi and a crashing beat like Def Leppard, 7Descent’s “Southwest Chief” takes a twist with a modern uptempo chorus (among other surprises!!). The band comments on the track: “‘Southwest Chief’ is actually an Amtrak Train that I would take from Santa Ana, California to New Mexico once a year. My mentor would purchase a private suite for me on the train. I remember all the beautiful American landscapes I journeyed through. The song weaves together my nostalgia from that experience and snippets of my real life, as well. Ultimately, the song is about the moments that define us.”
And, nostalgia abounds in more ways than one. Enjoy this riveting new single before it hits public ears today via the link below. Don’t forget to follow 7Descent for more!
