WORLD TRACK PREMIERE: Joss Jaffe “Play It Again” feat. Kiyoshi

Reggae artist Joss Jaffe is back, unveiling three new songs off his forthcoming full-length album Traveler! After gaining initial success with three albums entitled the Dub Mantra series, Jaffe really hit big with his last LP, Meditation Music, reaching within the Top 10 of the Billboard New Age Charts. With another album on the horizon, Jaffe is proud to debut his brand-new pop-reggae single “Play It Again” (featuring Kiyoshi) today on Top Shelf!

Starting immediately, “Play It Again” can literally be played on repeat without skipping a beat. Reggae guitar strumming meets a melodic bubble organ to generate a Slightly Stoopid-meets-trance kind of vibe, with an irregular beat drop in the first verse similar to an EDM song. Repeating “I only want to be close to you”, Jaffe expresses love for another in a time when we need to hear it most.

“‘Play it Again’ tells a love story about rekindling a love flame with that special person you were never able to stop thinking about…”

Commenting on the single, Jaffe states, “‘Play it Again’ tells a love story about rekindling a love flame with that special person you were never able to stop thinking about. The thrill and excitement of seeing them the first time plays out, again and again, every time they come into view, lifting your heart. You only want to be close to them feeling intoxicated by excitation of love.”

Be the first to hear Joss Jaffe’s “Play It Again” featuring Kiyoshi on Top Shelf Music first before it becomes available on all digital outlets April 20th. What better way to celebrate 420 than with new music! Check it out via the stream below and make sure to follow Joss Jaffe for more updates leading to his album release.

Same! Makes me think of “I’m Yours” by Jason Maraz 🙂
