Indubious ‘Beleaf’ album review

Indubious ‘Beleaf’ album review

Indubious — the energetic reggae-dub trio from Bend, Oregon — is dropping a brand new full-length album titled Beleaf. The 14-track album is set to be released August 16th and will surely not disappoint! Indubious stays true to their genre-bending, rootstronica dub sounds, while still keeping the album diverse and fresh with quality production, instrumental experimentation, futuristic textures and features from The Elovaters, Satsang and Michael Leslie.

Beleaf begins with the track “Here We Come”: a powerful start to the album and a song that is highlighted throughout. Halfway through, the track returns with a 30-second verse titled “Here We Go”. It makes its way back once more as the outro titled “Here We Are”, exuding the same rhythm with added dub and piano leads, paired perfectly with the intensity of their vocals to finish off the record and tie it all together to make Beleaf a true piece of artwork. Indubious specializes in conscious music, inspiring messages of love and hope. The band spreads positivity through their lyrics with tracks like “Do The Best You Can” and “Blessings Run”, but really, every track on this album focuses on uplifting, positive messages and promotes the thought that we are all of the universe.

Focusing on their mission to inspire others has given Indubious’ music the power and momentum to break all barriers and reach the outer limits of the world.

The band has perfected their positive outlook toward life by practicing it with their own hardships. Indubious is comprised of bassist and lyricist Spencer Burton, his brother Evan Burton specializing in the keys and songwriting, and Corey Foster on the drums. Brothers Spencer and Evan were both born with Cystic Fibrosis and given a short life expectancy. However, the two have taken the cards they’ve been dealt and became stronger through it. Focusing on their mission to inspire others has given Indubious’ music the power and momentum to break all barriers and reach the outer limits of the world.

Beleaf is truly a unique piece of work and unlike any other album I have heard, so please, do yourself a favor and support this uplifting movement by listening to this album! The first 50 physical copies sold will be hand-numbered and autographed by all three band members, so make sure to get yours ASAP! Sending best of luck to the Indubious brothers on their release and tour surrounding it.
