Keyth G. debuts with self-titled reggae EP

Up-and-coming reggae artist Keyth Garcia (aka Keyth G.), based out of Oxnard California, is set to release his first solo EP — a reggae and jazz-style mixture of sound! Top Shelf Music is proud to feature this soulful and uplifting reggae EP and had the opportunity to sit down and talk to Garcia about his debut:

“This EP is a rollercoaster of the tastiest jazzy licks…”

“[It’s] mixed with reggae and some much needed sultry,” Garcia continues. “There’s a presence of full-bodied roots reggae, with notes of Devil Makes Three and something you’d find down in New Orleans. It’s special only in its ability to connect sincerely with the audience on both a personal and global level. At the risk of oversimplifying the EP, it was kept self-titled, because it’s easier to see the artist plain and simple at first… trying not to have to prove too much or too little.”

Keyth G. sets apart from other reggae artists, with his soft, heartfelt and meaningful lyrics. Garcia further mentions that he gets a lot influence from current bands in the reggae scene, such as Mike Love, The Green, Steel Pulse, Iration and J Boog, claiming “I love that island-style reggae”.

Be the first to check out the debut EP goes worldwide on April 20th. For more information on Keyth G, make sure to follow the links below.
