Rising country pop star Queeva emits all the polish of an industry veteran, despite only being 17 years old. After debuting in 2017 with the single “Who You Really Are” (at age 14, mind you), Queeva was quick to follow up with her first full-length album, How Do You Know, a mere two years later.
Release after release Queeva is pumping out and she’s nowhere near slowing down!
With her “Slow Down Time” single of January 2021 (a probable homage on how fast her career is escalating), up-and-coming charismatic Queeva returns with the release and music video of “Show Off” — a slow and sweet tune about remaining humble. “Take a breath for a minute // Slow it down // I’m nervous, too,” sings Queeva, a sentiment wrapped in ultra sincere teenage naïveté towards a boy going “overboard” to impress her. With guitar in hand, Queeva asserts don’t “be somebody you ain’t… that ain’t gonna wanna make me hang around at all.” Reminiscent of an early Taylor Swift sound with a modern twist, Queeva will satisfy any country-lover’s call.
“‘Show Off’ is definitely one of my favorite songs I have written so far and I’m so excited for everyone to finally hear it,” Queeva comments on the track. “It means a lot to me, because I want people to remember that they don’t have to change for anyone else. I hope those who listen to the song and its message love it as much as I do!”
The single is now available on all digital platforms, as well as the video produced by Preston Leatherman and The 254 Collective. For more information, visit the links below.
