3 Doors Down play to rock-hungry crowd in Paso Robles

Vina Robles Amphitheater in Paso Robles, California hosted rock superstars 3 Doors Down on Sunday, August 29th, with local cats Moonshiner Collective opening the show. Moonshiner Collective is a four-piece soft rock singer-songwriter band from San Luis Obispo, consisting of Dan Curcio on lead vocals, Ryan House on drums, Tyson “Tropo” Leonard on violin and Gary Wooten on lead guitar.

People were surprised to see a local band open up the show, since Theory of a Deadman were supposed to be on the tour, but the crowd’s response to them was unbelievable — loving every second.

I think it’s amazing when local bands get the opportunity to open for someone so big. The way Moonshine Collective members engaged with the crowd was great, telling stories of their songs and getting the crowd to cheer and dance along. 

Finally, 3 Doors Down came out celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their debut album, The Better Life. Turns out the first time they were in San Luis County was actually 20 years ago, when they originally released the album. Vina Robles was a packed house, with screaming and cheering fans as the band played through the entirety of their album. After the show, the band stuck around, handing out drumsticks, guitar picks and signed set lists in order to give lucky fans a night to remember. For any rock fans, 3 Doors Down should be a band you want to see, so make sure to check them out when they hit a city near you!
