Goldrush Festival returned this year bigger and wilder than ever over the weekend of September 24th, 25th and 26th at the good old Rawhide Western Town & Event Center! Not only did this festival have a completely insane lineup, but Goldrush was also stacked with so many incredible activities around its grounds! In its 4th edition, the golden glow up for Goldrush Festival is REAL! From the brand new stages to an expanded blueprint, Relentless Beats really went off on this one, folks.
Goldrush attracted so many eager guests this year, mainly because of its STACKED lineup!
The fest’s main headliners were Zedd, Diplo, Juaz and Illenium, who closed out the stages throughout the three-day event, after incredible performances from CloZee, Troyboi, Getter, Griz, Zedds Dead, Virtual Riot, SVDDEN DEATH (for our bassheads), Above and Beyond, Green Velvet, Sidepiece and Camelphat (for our house and techno lovers)… JUST to name a few. Music was spread out over the span of five stages: The Golden Gorge, The Hideout and Pioneer’s Park served as our three main stages, while Tumbleweed Park (which lives up to its name, where you can find many amazing cannabis dispensaries ready with freebies and coupons) and, lastly, but certainly not least, the Mission Patio (aka, the Silent Disco). That’s right, people! The incredible space was located centrally in the festival, yet felt like its own club with four walls around it. The Patio featured two DJ’s playing at all times, so you could pick between the two channels to match your vibe. It was clear that the music had delivered, but there was way more to offer at Goldrush than just that.
Throughout the simple layout of the festival (literally one big circle, big ups!), you can find hidden gems, in addition to the traditional mouth-watering festival dishes offered (those chicken tenders, though). The music shows were obviously incredible, but what really got me was the Six Gun Performance Theatre in the secluded small western town arena, centrally located in the festival: comedy, magic, western and even karaoke was on the schedule! Also around the festival, one could find a free Kandi making station, roller disco, rock climbing, festival wardrobe shops and even a couple art galleries, featuring artists doing live demos and answering questions for the people! The fun didn’t stop there. There was a giant circus tent with a FULL-on circus of people performing in the Hideout, all thanks to Zoppe Italian Family Circus. They also entertained festees with a parade of the circus twice every night. I think watching people doing crazy stunts while jamming to Camelphat was a big accomplishment for me, personally. For our VIP guests, in addition to having the usual special viewing stations, if you had the golden wristband, you also had access to secret activities, like axe throwing, a beauty bar for festival colored-hair braids and, ohhh, those luxury bathrooms!
Overall, the bar for the return of festivals has been set extremely high thanks to our friends at Goldrush.
So, with the 2021 edition of Goldrush going off literally perfectly, one can only imagine how they plan to top this for 2022. With that amazing Arizona rave crowd and actual perfect raving conditions at the Rawhide Event Center, Goldrush is going to become a household name in the festival game, for sure.
