Escape the Fate rocks Basement Transmissions in Erie, PA
Escape the Fate — a rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada — played live in Erie, Pennsylvania at Basement Transmissions. The band has come a long way since forming in 2004 and has continued to churn out heavy metal bangers over the last 18 years. Even though almost all of their founding members have been replaced (the only remaining founder is drummer Robert Ortiz), the band still rocks their older hits. The band got their start in 2005, when they won a radio show that was judged by My Chemical Romance. The prize was a spot on MCR’s tour, alongside Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect. This tour helped them gain popularity and led to their first record deal with Epitaph. Now, nearly two decades and seven albums later, they continue to melt faces.
After the local opening bands — Real Fake Doors and Fastfall — both played their sets and got the crowd pumped, Escape the Fate took the stage. The packed house at Basement Transmissions went crazy as the band played some fan-favorites like “This War Is Ours”, “One For The Money” and “Ashley”. They also played a couple songs from their newest album, Chemical Warfare.
Between songs, lead singer Craig Mabbitt talked a lot to the crowd and gave the fans a huge update:
Escape the Fate plans to be back in the studio soon to start writing a new album!
After that exciting announcement, the band continued to rock out as they finished their set. Fans from all ages came to rock hard and put their devil horns up! It is always great to see a crowd full of people head-banging to their favorite band and this show was no exception! Throughout the the night, there were several times where Mabbit elicited laughs and smiles from the crowd, as he joked with them between songs.
Escape the Fate has an upcoming show this fall supporting Hawthorne Heights, as well as a UK tour with Fozzy, and will surely be announcing more headlining shows in the future! Be sure to catch them some time if you’re into metal and looking for a good time!
