San Diego’s premiere reggae rock festival on the water Bayfest returned on July 10th to host thousands of local fans, bands and vendors after more than a year since the pandemic began. Instantly, the event brought amazing free and great vibes, with fans rejoicing and reuniting with one another after so long apart. The second annual lineup consisted of beloved SoCal reggae bands, with DENM, KBong, The Aggrolites, Fortunate Youth and dual headliners Sublime with Rome and Dirty Heads. All of them put on amazing shows and got the entire crowd cheerfully dancing and singing along all day.
Powering through the beautiful (but hot) summer day, the energy never stopped; it was as if we were all holding it in, just ready to combust over the last year!
It was an incredible sight to see such a large crowd in San Diego, containing with so many smiles, bouts of laugher and love all around. It was the perfect event to help San Diegans regain some sense of normalcy and enjoyment of life and summertime! So, cheers to everyone who attended! It was so great to see you all and here’s to a wonderful summer!
