Cali Vibes Fest 2022: Day Two

On Saturday, February 5th, Day Two of the Cali Vibes Festival kicked off. It was a warm day and you could feel the anticipation in the air as fans waited to get into the grounds to start yet another day of fun.

Boostive kicked the day off, with amazing energy and great stage presence.

Boostive is always one of those bands who get you pumped, enough to run across the grounds and catch Artikal Sound System up next — another band with infectious energy. After that was The Expanders, Bumpin Uglies, The Elovaters, Lila Iké, DENM and Shwayze with Cisco Adler. As Fortunate Youth came out midday, the crowd blew up; it was awesome seeing so many fans sing along to every word they sang. Fortunate Youth was followed by Common Kings, Shaggy and Tribal Seeds — all of whom gave great performances! The the sun set and out came Stick Figure, playing all the crowd’s favorites, with lights and pyrotechnics going on throughout their set. 

Dancehall reggae legend Barrington Levy was up next on the Green Stage, to keep the vibe going before it was time for Slightly Stoopid. Stoopid was introduced by B-Real (of Cypress Hill) and was joined onstage by Jurassic 5’s Chali 2na. At the same time, Sensi Trails was laying down fire on the Green Stage, getting everyone in earshot dancing. After that fire performance was Roots of Creation, who closed out the Green Stage before the Marley Brothers closed out the night on the main Koi Stage with a tribute to their father, Bob. It was a long day, with tons of music and dancing, but you also felt full as you walked out of the grounds to go and recuperate for Day Three.
