Cleaver, Nu Ritual & Worldwide Panic at LA’s Rainbow Room
It was a crisp, crystal clear autumn night as the historic Rainbow Room sign stood tall over the Sunset Strip in Hollywood on November 11th, 2019. ‘Metal Mayhem’ night, hosted by LA Talk Radio’s Jennifer Devoe (of Jenny’s Real Talk on the Block), was on the rise and things were about to get loud AF!
Warming up the night was local metal band, Worldwide Panic, with a unique acoustic set. On the heels of their recent EP release, The You In Me, the group decided to strip it down for the night and show off the softer side of their otherwise hard rock/heavy metal sound. They even tossed in an Alanis Morissette cover.
The night of mayhem was rounded out perfectly with the spotting of Ron Jeremy working the door of the Rainbow Room…
LA natives Nu Ritual took to the stage next, turning it up a few decibels! This raucous, vivacious and sickly talented band packed the bar and blew the roof off the Rainbow Room. The group, formed June 2018, quickly outgrew their repertoire of cover songs. With insane vocal range of lead singer DiSanti, the powerful guitar playing of Haitz, phenomenal bass playing of AJ Ferrer and monstrous drumming of Danny Herrera, the group quickly recorded a handful of original songs. The magic between the explosive music and creative lyrics, like in the song “Voodoo Doll”, comes from Rich Haitz and DiSanti — a combo that shows onstage! Mixed with the raw and pure talent of AJ on bass and Danny on drums, their stage presence is nothing short of explosive chemistry.
Taking over Metal Mayem night next was Chilean alternative rock band Cleaver, celebrating the release of their latest album Hear the Silence with a US tour. The boys from Santiago entertained fans with their high energy, incredible lyrics and stellar performance all-around. Having supported Puddle of Mudd on their recent tour, Cleaver proves to be a dominant force in the Chilean music scene and beyond. The night of mayhem was rounded out perfectly with the spotting of Ron Jeremy working the door of the Rainbow Room, greeting ladies with a hug and a kiss on the cheek!
Be sure to catch Nu Ritual in 2020, starting their second Saturday residency at Universal Bar and Grill on January 11th!
