Katchafire lights up San Diego’s Belly Up Tavern

Katchafire lit up the night Wednesday, September 4th in Solana Beach at the Belly Up Tavern. Starting the evening off right was Earthkry, a roots reggae band hailing from Kingston, Jamaica. Throwing immense energy, along with riveting bass lines and guitar solos, the crowd was moving from the very start. Bassist/vocalist Kamardo Blake was so happily grooving alongside lead singer/guitarist Aldayne Haughton, joined by Phillip McFarlane (on keyboards) and Kieron Cunningham (on drums) for some powerful, synchronized vocals and instrumental breakdowns that had the audience hollering for more.

Katchafire took the stage with a very humbled entry, thanking the crowd for attending and immediately offering the jams everyone came for.

Katchafire took the stage with a very humbled entry, thanking the crowd for attending and immediately offering the jams everyone came for. The large group filled the stage with various instrumentals, calls to the crowd and dance breaks that had the entire room filled with joy. As they played their hit “Love Letter”, vocalist/percussionist Jordan Bell urged the crowd to remind one another that they were loved. Vocalist/Guitarist Logan Bell delivered passion with every song with backup provided by the high energy band. Catch this incredible performance live by Katchafire this week as they finish their U.S. tour with Earthkry next week with dates in Oregon and Washington. This fall, Katchafire will tour in Australia and continue to their home country of New Zealand through the winter.
