LAUV performs special one-night-only in Los Angeles

If you want to let loose, dance the night away, feel comfortable in your own skin, and be your true self, LAUV live shows is that type of environment. He brings an abundance of high energy, love, and passion when he’s onstage while performing hit song after hit. With his rich falsetto, soulful tones mixed with his pop electric beats, this beautiful night at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday, October 4th was a magical evening you didn’t want to miss.

When you entered this breathtaking outdoor venue, all you could see were fans rushing to the merch lines or grabbing their favorite beverages and snacks before heading to their seats. With only a microphone and stand placed on an empty stage, the lights were dimly lit awaiting the first artist to hit the stage.

Alexander 23, who is churning out on a new album, is an indie pop singer-songwriter from Deerfield, Illinois. He’s worked with incredible acts such as John Mayer, Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan, Charlie Puth, and many more amazing musicians! As the house music started to fade and the lights changed, fans began to cheer. All you could see is Alexander 23’s name appearing big and brightly on the screen as he walked out with a guitar in hand. The arena was filled then with the soothing, acoustic fingerpicking of Alexander 23‘s opening song, “Yours”.

As the set went on, fans couldn’t help but swoon over his charming good looks and his high falsetto vocals.

Next on the setlist was “Girl”, where he used a loop pedal, similar to how Ed Sheeran performs his music live. Throughout the night, he treated fans to songs like “Everything’s Fine”, “Brianstorm”, “Sad”, and ending with “IDK You Yet”. Before leaving the stage, Alexander 23 told the crowd that he’ll be back soon and to get ready for the amazing LAUV up next!

As the blue lights began to fade a second time, LAUV appeared (seemingly out of nowhere), running onto the stage with high energy to open his set with songs like “Paris in the Rain” and “Paranoid” from his album I met you when I was 18.(the playlist). For those who don’t know, the album is a collection of songs about a young LAUV moving to New York City only to fall in love for the first time. As the night went on, songs were performed from the album ~how i’m feeling~, such as “fuck, i’m lonely” (which features the incredible Ann-Marie), “Drugs & The Internet”, “Mean It”, and “Lonely Eyes”.

It was around this time that LAUV stepped down from the stage to get closer to his fans, even handing the mic to someone who blew him away with an amazing vocal range.

Next, LAUV surprised the audience by singing an unreleased track that will possibly be released on his next album, Because of You, asking everyone to get up and dance with him. Everyone continued swaying to the beat, standing on their seats, hands in the air while smash hit songs like “Molly in Mexico” and “All 4 Nothing (I’m So in Love)” from the album All 4 Nothing (featuring actor and singer Troye Sivan) were sung. The crowd knew every word. Halfway through the concert, LAUV mentioned that his latest release “First Heartbreak” was up next, prompting more cheers from avid fans.

Towards the end of the night, LAUV sat down at a piano to sing “Steal the Show” from the blockbuster hit Disney movie, Elemental. Other songs sung toward the end were “who”, “feelings”, “Potential”, “Never Not”, and “Cozy”, the last of which he brought back out Alexander 23 as well as Jeremy Zucker to join him onstage. Last, but not least, “I Like Me Better” was the encore –debatably his biggest pop hit. What a night!
